Fall Gallatin Watershed Cleanup

WHAT: Teams of volunteers cleaning up sites across the entire Gallatin Watershed, removing trash after a busy summer season.

WHEN: Saturday, September 9th. Clean up from 2-4pm, and go to Lindley Park immediately after for a volunteer appreciation and clean up celebration. Announcements and raffles will begin at 5pm.

WHERE: Sign up for a particular location to clean up here. The celebration will be at Lindley Park at the Pavilion (E. Main St & Buttonwood Ave., Bozeman, MT). Awards and raffle will begin at 5pm.

WHY: Removing trash and waste from our local streams, wetlands, and trails improves the quality of water, soil, and habitat for the people and critters in our headwaters area, but positively impacts our downstream neighbors all of the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Sites have been chosen based on community input and observed trash accumulation over the years.

WHO: Anyone and everyone!

The Fall Gallatin Watershed Cleanup is in partnership with the Gallatin River Task Force (GRTF). If you would like to volunteer in the Upper Gallatin Watershed, please contact conservation@gallatinrivertaskforce.org to volunteer with the GRTF.
