2025 Fall Gallatin Watershed Cleanup
Saturday, September 6, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
We have all been enjoying Southwestern Montana’s outdoor spaces this summer. Now, let’s give back! Help us clean up our watershed after the busy recreation season. The Gallatin Watershed Council (GWC) and the Gallatin River Task Force (GRTF) are hosting the seventh annual collaborative Gallatin Watershed Cleanup. Join us in removing trash from the entire Gallatin Watershed, from Yellowstone National Park to the Missouri Headwaters, to keep the water clean for our community and downstream neighbors.
Volunteer in the Lower Gallatin Watershed
Join the Gallatin Watershed Council at the 2025 Fall Gallatin Watershed Cleanup on Saturday, September 6, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Clean up trash across the Lower Gallatin Watershed as either a team leader or a team member. Team leaders are responsible for picking up cleanup supplies from the GWC office, then distributing supplies and relaying safety information and protocol to their team members during the event. Detailed responsibilities are linked below. You will receive additional information via email closer to the event date.
Celebrate with GWC and Protect Our Rivers
Following the cleanup, volunteers will celebrate their hard work in Bozeman at the cleanup after-party! Specific location information to be determined. This year, GWC is excited to partner with Protect Our Rivers to bring even more food, drinks, and prizes. The celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m. with announcements and prizes at 5:15 p.m.
