Watershed Business Profile: Oboz Footwear

Established in Bozeman in 2007, Oboz Footwear is a locally based hiking footwear brand with a purpose of empowering the people of the world to blaze their own trail.

This team is committed to making sustainably based decisions both in and out of the Bozeman office. Their brand is based around staying true to the trail and inviting people of all walks to come along.

Here are some ways that they show love and respect to the watershed:

  • Alongside the Gallatin Watershed Council and the City of Bozeman Forestry Division, Oboz planted a whopping 50 trees on Arbor Day 2022!

  • Establishing office-wide composting initiatives

  • Hosting community-driven, nature-based workshops

  • Supporting their employees with volunteer-time-off policies to impact the community

  • Adopting a 4-mile section of the Continental Divide Trail in Northern Montana

  • Implementation of the Roots Crew in 2021, which is a team focused on protecting the people and places that makes the Bozeman Community unique

  • Continuing to support the Gallatin Watershed Council and its programs in 2023!
