Volunteer With Us

Community members are at the heart of everything we do at the Gallatin Watershed Council.

Each year, hundreds of people like you roll up their sleeves to care for Gallatin Valley’s rivers through hands-on stewardship and civic engagement. From riverbanks to breweries to city hall, there’s a place for you in our work. Help us make long-lasting ecological change, while making friends and learning new skills. Caring for our watershed takes all kinds. We couldn’t do it without you!

We hope you can come together with us, to care for our local watershed.‍ ‍

Gallatin Stream Teams

Help us monitor water in the Gallatin Valley

Gallatin Stream Teams is a volunteer stream monitoring program operated in partnership between the Gallatin Local Water Quality District and the Gallatin Watershed Council. Since 2008, citizen scientists have tested water quality on streams across the Lower Gallatin watershed to assess the health of the watershed.

Don’t forget to sign the volunteer waiver before you join us in the field.

We hope to see you outdoors soon!
